Overview:
From the high school athlete who tears an ACL to the retiree who needs a knee replacement, the Ortho Central Ambulatory Surgery Center is here for each and every one of our patients. Our expert team includes four orthopedic surgeons, a sports medicine physician, bone health experts, physical therapists, and workers’ compensation specialists.
Our skilled providers can treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries including sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery. The Ambulatory Surgery Center is open Monday through Friday to meet our patient’s needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provides for a sterile environment.
- Prepares for procedure.
- Assists the physician to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff.
- Responsible for personal continuing education and professional practice.
Qualifications:
Education
- Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology preferred, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech.
Experience
- Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech, or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred. National Certification is highly preferred.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Education/Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
- If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
- Currently Oklahoma LPN license required if applicable.
